At a time when there’s way too much fluff on the digital download shelves in the Progressive House department of all the major distributors (…) it’s a welcome relief to finally hear something of this calibre. Yes, I like my prog deep, dark, dirty and driving, and as corny as that may sound, Hassan Rassmy & Sarp Yilmaz have renewed my faith in Prog this year.

Fasad (CJ Art & Marcooz remix) – the vibe is equally ominous, but this time around there’s another dark presence lurking in the shadows. Amid the twilight just before the sun is completely blotted out, you can hear the haunting arpeggiated vocals beckoning you from above (or below depending on your faith). It’s an eerie trance-inducing harmonic with just the right amount of dramatic touch to lure you in.
